NASCAR, MAUI AND SINGLE AGAIN...

hello friends. i know, i know, it's been awhile since i've last posted. my friend nicole told me i better post, so here goes...

went to my first NASCAR race here in Richmond on May 5th. ah, man! so cool. i've watched it on tv before but it's much more betta seeing it live. i loved all 4 hrs or so and the guy i was rootin for came in 3rd that day. #11 Denny Hamlin. He's a Virginia boy! it was alot of fun. thanks Brian for getting me to be a NASCAR fan!! :)

for my birthday, my mom took me to Maui, Hawaii. can i say, PARADISE!!!! i met my mom in dallas on May 14th and we just returned yesterday-May 22nd. we didn't do alot but it sure was nice getting up when we wanted, eating breakfast on our balcony that overlooked the pool and the ocean, sitting in a cabana at the pool, playing on the beach, just chillin and livin the life. :) we did go to a luau the evening of my birthday (May 15th) and they sang happy birthday to me and another lady. but later they gave her a lei but not me. so not fair!!! :( course we did our shopping and then one day we went to the other side of the island and took a submarine that went almost all the way under water to see the beautiful coral and fishes. the weather was awesome the whole time we were there and not a raindrop. it was SO hard to come back to the real world. mom did well on the trip and we just enjoyed being together. of course we were missing my sweet daddy but he is in a better Paradise. i so want to go back to Aloha land.

and yes, i'm single again but no pouty lip here. before i left for hawaii i broke things off with Brian. there were several reasons why but the main is that i didn't feel he was God's best for me. Brian is a gentleman and very kind and sweet and i don't regret the 2 1/2 months we dated but hey, i'm 36 now and don't want to settle. I want HIS best for me and unfortunately Brian is not HIS best. God has confirmed my descision through others and i'm happy and confident in that. I know He will bless me for my obediance. So, know of any one you might want to set me up with? :)

well, guess that is all for this post. pretty much have caught ya up since the last one. sorry, Nic for the delay. :) i'll try and post a picture or two of my trip to Maui in the next couple of days. so back soon.
